Bird Girl is a sculpture made in 1936 by Sylvia Shaw Judson. The sculpture sat in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia, where it was photographed by Jack Leigh for the cover of the novel. It has since been moved to an indoor location for preservation.
