These studies are small but mighty pieces of my artistic journey.
In 2019 I started exploring ways to combine my love of vintage paper with my desire to create more intentional compositions with acrylic paint and ink. I have always been a typeface geek. Circles started to emerge as favorite composition element. I found that I really enjoyed composing squares.
You're Just My Type is a set of four 4x4-inch collages on heavy cotton paper. I used a mix of antique, vintage, and contemporary reclaimed paper, ink, pencil, water-soluble graphite, and paint.
