2024 Midwest Award for Artists with Disabilities

I am thrilled and excited and honored to be sharing this news.

This week, I was announced as one of the recipients of the 2024 Midwest Award for Artists with Disabilities from Arts Midwest. According to the Arts Midwest website, this award is designed to support accessibility in the arts and celebrate the exceptional work of disabled Midwestern visual artists. Over 300 artists applied to receive funds, and a panel of seven reviewers narrowed the pool to nine finalists from across the Midwest.

I was named alongside 8 exceptional artists. Check out the announcement article, the Arts Midwest instagram, and each artist’s social media to show your support of accessibility and disabled Midwestern artists!

My painting "The Queen of Peace" (2024) was one of the pieces I submitted in my application packet for the Midwest Award for Artists with Disabilities.
